New Orleans Pelicans: The Lonzo Ball trade with the Los Angeles Clippers for George Paul

The LA Clippers huffed and puffed after the playoffs with owner Steve Ballmer reportedly very unhappy with the team’s results.

He promised big change and unexpectedly made it by firing long-time coach Doc Rivers. But would Ballmer like to shake things up even more?

Then there is the report that Kawhi Leonard has been privately clamoring for a new point guard, a better offensive player than Patrick Beverley, who is mainly a defensive specialist.

The question is whether the Clippers would be willing to move on from their All-NBA wing to get one. Here is a trade that might work:

In this trade, the Clippers get their starting point guard and elite shooting off their bench, as well as a wing who could end up being a valuable 3-and-D player if healthy.

They also get to recoup some of the draft assets they gave up to get Paul in the first place, while still remaining competitive and injecting some youth into the roster.

But would this be enough to pry Paul George away?
