Two recent rumors could forecast the New Orleans Pelicans trading Jrue Holiday for Devin Booker.

The New Orleans Pelicans are in a tough spot this offseason. Without a trade for Jrue Holiday, they won’t have cap space to fill all of their needs. Enter the Phoenix Suns and Devin Booker.

There are two rumors at play which could lead to a trade of stars for the New Orleans Pelicans and Phoenix Suns.

The first rumor is that the Pelicans are reportedly shopping Jrue Holiday to multiple teams:

The second rumor is that Devin Booker is tired of losing and wants out of Phoenix.

Both stars have been the face of their respective franchises but Holiday’s age and contract don’t align with the rest of their stars and Booker has yet to make the playoffs in Phoenix.

The Booker rumor is somewhat surprising given that the Suns went undefeated in the bubble and looked like a playoff team had there been a full season.

But stars want to win and play on the biggest stage, and so far, Booker has not gotten there in Phoenix.

The Pelicans will be looking for either a young star for a package built around Jrue Holiday or they will look for a package of young talent and draft assets.

There is seemingly a trade possibility between the two teams, as Holiday would keep the Suns competitive and Booker would help push the New Orleans Pelicans to the next level.

What would a trade look like? Who says no?
