The New Orleans Pelicans have heard every Jrue Holiday trade rumor, including this 3-team trade with the Celtics and Pacers.

The New Orleans Pelicans are probably sick of reading about Jrue Holiday trade rumors and I can’t blame them.

It seems like every team has been attached to Holiday in some way, a testament to how the versatile and talented guard would fit in with nearly any contender.

His combination of defense and offensive ability are hard to come by, which is why many teams view him as the perfect third piece to get them closer to a title.

There are even some up-and-coming teams in on the action, as it was reported that Atlanta was also in on the Holiday lottery.

Atlanta would be a good landing spot for Holiday, as the Pelicans could take back valuable assets without having to take back equal salary, as the Hawks are well under the salary cap.

Teams like the Nets, Nuggets, Clippers and Warriors would love to have Holiday, but there is some question about what they would send back, especially when it comes to Los Angeles and Golden State.

Yesterday, another team was rumored to have interest, the Boston Celtics, who have to feel like they are close to winning a title with the core they have.

The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor suggested the Celtics could move their ample draft assets to move up, then trade that pick to the Pelicans for Jrue Holiday.

The Pelicans would probably love to get back Marcus Smart and a top-ten pick for Holiday, but the Celtics are reportedly more interested in moving on from Kemba Walker and Gordon Hayward.

They might even want to clear both, which opens up the possibility for an intriguing 3-team trade.
