New Orleans Pelicans: Who will start for the Pels?

Starting Lineup #2

If the Pelicans want to inject more playmaking into the bench unit, they could shake things up and use a different set of starters.

PG: Lonzo Ball

SG: J.J. Redick

SF: Brandon Ingram

PF: Zion Williamson

C: Steven Adams

In this version of the starting five, the Pels move Bledsoe to the bench in favor of veteran sharpshooter J.J. Redick.

There is a lot of appeal to this lineup, as it adds more shooting and floor spacing around Zion Williamson and Steven Adams. Bledsoe is a decent 3-point shooter but he is no Redick.

This lineup will definitely see a lot of time together because Stan Van Gundy will be trying out all manner of pick-and-roll options with Redick, who could be effective with both Zion and Ingram.

This also adds more playmaking to the bench unit, which is now more of a defensive squad with both Bledsoe and Hart able to defend all over the floor.

SVG will likely audition a lot of different lineups in the beginning of the season and I can definitely see this one gaining traction, especially early on.
