New Orleans Pelicans: Zion Williamson on the All-NBA team

Prediction #4

Zion Williamson will make All-NBA

It is a given that if Zion stays healthy he will eventually make an All-NBA team, but I’m saying it will happen this season.

This is not going to be easy, as the forward position is loaded, evidenced by the fact that guys like Khris Middleton, Paul George and Brandon Ingram were left off last season.

So who is Zion going to supplant on the All-NBA team? It depends.

If Zion ends up playing enough center to qualify at that position, then I could see him knock off Rudy Gobert on the third team.

If he is judged as a forward, then Jimmy Butler and Jayson Tatum would be the most likely to lose their spots. As I said, this is not going to be easy.

For Zion Williamson to make All-NBA he needs to increase his scoring average, rebound more on the defensive end, improve his defense and hope that his team has some success.

This leads me to the final prediction.
