New Orleans Pelicans vs. Toronto Raptors: Brandon Ingram will be tested

The Wing

This game is going to be a real test for Brandon Ingram, who will be going up against a number of talented wings.

Both Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby will log some time defending Ingram and both are long, physical defenders who will be able to give him some trouble.

Ingram is a scorer, so I am sure he will eventually get his buckets, but it isn’t going to be easy.

Same for the other end of the floor, where he will have to defend one of these two at times, again not an easy task.

The Pelicans will need Josh Hart and possibly even Sindarius Thornwell to step up and play some quality defensive minutes on the wing.

Pascal Siakam is officially listed as a power forward on some sites, but he plays a lot on the perimeter and is a handful for anyone.

The Pelicans guards should be able to hold their own against Toronto, and the Pels should have a big advantage down low, so it may come down to the matchups on the wing.

The New Orleans Pelicans will get an early gauge of where they are against the Raptors, let’s hope they can keep their preseason momentum going.
