The New Orleans Pelicans kick off their season against the Toronto Raptors. Here’s how to watch.
The New Orleans Pelicans hope to notch their first win of the season against the Toronto Raptors in a tough road matchup against an experienced team.
The Raptors are running it back with basically the same team minus Marc Gasol and with the additions of Aron Baynes and promising rookie Malachi Flynn.
The Pelicans have even more new faces, adding five new players to their roster, most notably Eric Bledsoe and Steven Adams while trading Jrue Holiday.
It should be an exciting first game of the season and a good road test for the young New Orleans Pelicans.

It is the first game of the season, so anything could happen, which is why it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Pelicans win this one outright.
If you are going to bet the Pelicans, forget the points and bet the Moneyline. This is one of my rules of wagering on the NBA: If you think the team can win, don’t bet the points.
The Raptors play tough defense and will try to slow down the pace, so the under is the smarter play, but BEWARE, the Pels can explode for 130 points any night, so betting the under on them is always a big risk.
If you are playing daily fantasy, both Steven Adams and Zion Williamson should be strong plays and should be able to rack up big numbers against the Raptors, who are thin in the paint with just Baynes and Alex Len.
The New Orleans Pelicans hope to start the season the right way and show that their preseason improvements were not a fluke.
