It would take a godfather offer but New Orleans Pelicans should watch Cade Cunningham and hope

Cade Cunningham – Oklahoma State

It’s not often that a player gets talked about in the same breath as LeBron James and Magic Johnson. That’s the case with Oklahoma State’s freshman protege, Cade Cunnigham.

In 8 games with Oklahoma State this season, Cunningham has led them to a 6-2 record while dominating the competition by putting up 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal a night. Words can’t even describe the impact he makes on the game.

He’s a point guard, but with a 6’8″ 220 pound frame, he could easily play any position in the modern NBA. His passing vision is among the best in this year’s draft, and he’s probably the best downhill scorer in the NCAA. Oh, and he has a 3 point shot that falls 37 percent of time too.

Simply put, Cunningham will be a top-2 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Depending on how Jalen Green preforms in the NBA G-League, he might end up being the number one pick in the draft. Obviously that means the Pelicans would have to trade the farm to acquire him, but a trio of Cunningham, Ingram, and Williamson would own the NBA for the next decade.

So, you’re a New Orleans Pelicans fan who wants to watch college basketball, but doesn’t know who to watch? Well, I just gave you the names of four elite players who the New Orleans Pelicans could target in the 2021 NBA Draft. Now, go have at it!
