New Orleans Pelicans: 3-team trade for Larry Nance Jr.

Why the Cavs would do it

The Cavaliers likely wouldn’t do this deal unless they were enticed with a draft pick, as it probably doesn’t move the needle much for them otherwise.

They do have a glut of power forwards, (though Kevin Love’s recent injury could change that) and Prince can play on the wing, is young and on a reasonable contract for his production.

The Cavs have some nice young guard pieces to build around in Sexton and Okoro and Prince would complement them well on the wing.

Why the Nets would do it

The Nets are thinking title this year and would love to add another veteran shooter like J.J. Redick, who owns a house in Brooklyn.

Redick is the kind of player you want to put around guys like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, who are going to draw a lot of double teams.

The Nets don’t really need Prince, as they are deep and he could get buried on the bench at some point anyway.

With Spencer Dinwiddie going down with an injury the Nets need some guard depth and could get it by trading away one of their wings.
