New Orleans Pelicans: 3 suave Lonzo Ball trades to make at the deadline
By Nick Alvarez
Trade #2- The Orlando Magic acquire Lonzo Ball from the New Orleans Pelicans to ease the loss of Markelle Fultz
This next deal is another move that would make sense for both sides. People might not know this, but the Orlando Magic were off to a fantastic start to the season before losing guard Markelle Fultz to an ACL tear.
If the Magic are serious about still trying to contend in the East without Fultz then trading for Lonzo Ball could be a smart option for them. In return they could send the New Orleans Pelicans this package:
In this deal, the New Orleans Pelicans would acquire Terrence Ross, a wing player who provides reliable defense, and decent shooting. He’d instantly form a reliable rotation-tandem with Josh Hart, and allow the Pelicans to play some use some interesting line-ups.
In addition to Ross, the Pelicans would acquire two second-round picks to compensate for Lonzo Ball being the younger player. Often, younger NBA players who are at least reliable hold more value.
Not satisfied with that move, well we have one more for you. This one might actually spark interest in the fanbase.
