New Orleans Pelicans vs. Sacramento Kings: Player Grades for the small forwards

This might seem harsh, as Ingram carried the Pelicans for a lot of the game but he continues to have the same problems.

Ingram turned the ball over five times, which can’t continue. Most of his turnovers come when he dribbles or holds the ball too long and ends up having to make a difficult pass in traffic.

The New Orleans Pelicans offense is at its best when the ball moves but they often go away from this for Ingram isolation plays, which almost always lead to difficult shots.

Look, Ingram can hit them. He is one of the best offensive players in the league, but that doesn’t mean the Pelicans constantly have to make things so difficult for him.

Ingram dribbled the ball way too much in the second half, especially considering Zion Williamson couldn’t miss and was unstoppable all night.

Stan Van Gundy has tasked Ingram with carrying this team offensively, but he doesn’t have to do it via isolation, which is currently not helping the New Orleans Pelicans.
