New Orleans Pelicans: Kira Lewis Jr. might be the best option

Who exactly is beating Kira Lewis Jr. out for minutes right now?

J.J. Redick has been awful and may be finished with the team.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker has had one good game and has since disappeared. It turns out taking tons of incredibly bad, difficult shots is not the route to consistent performance.

Lonzo Ball has been up and down, looking like a cornerstone one game, then reverting back to a guy they should probably trade the next.

My point is this: Are we sure Kira Lewis Jr. isn’t the best option right now?

The New Orleans Pelicans desperately need a playmaker who is not named Zion Williamson or Brandon Ingram.

Kira Lewis Jr. has at least shown that he can get where he wants to on the floor, hit open 3-point shots and use dribble penetration to set up his teammates.

Could it hurt to see what he looks like for a whole game? What exactly are the other guards doing to keep him out of the rotation?

NAW does not need 33 minutes a night when he is struggling, so give some of those minutes to Kira Lewis Jr. who deserves a chance to earn time.
