New Orleans Pelicans: The Pels should make a move for Victor Oladipo

The Pelicans could use a shake-up and an influx of talent.

Their starting five has been mostly good this year and are not the problem. The problem is that the Pelicans don’t have a bench, so grabbing another talented player will help their overall depth.

Oladipo can play off the ball or make plays himself, so he would be a nice fit with Lonzo Ball and give the Pelicans a dynamic backcourt that can defend.

This would move Eric Bledsoe to the bench, which he is probably better suited for anyway and would give the Pels more options with their second unit.

Josh Hart is the only bench player who has done anything for the Pelicans this season, so adding more talent is a must if they want to turn it around.

The Pelicans would also get half a season or more to see how Oladipo fits and if they’d want to retain him long-term.

It would be a risk, as he could walk to another team but what would they really be risking? I am not as high on NAW as others but even if he were to reach his ceiling, would he be as good as Oladipo?

If the New Orleans Pelicans have a chance to add an impact talent without giving up much, they should jump on it. Draft picks are only potential, Oladipo is good and can help now.
