New Orleans Pelicans vs. Dallas Mavericks: Grades for the shooting guards

Shooting Guard. New Orleans Pelicans. ERIC BLEDSOE. B-.

Eric Bledsoe was the only member of the New Orleans Pelicans who did not have a negative plus/minus vs. the Mavericks. He was +0, to lead the team. That pretty much says everything you need to know about last night’s game.

Bledsoe had a good night shooting, but like everyone else struggled on defense.

C-. . Shooting Guard. New Orleans Pelicans. JOSH HART

Josh Hart has been wildly inconsistent shooting the ball this season, and has had two poor games after his career night vs. the Rockets.

Hart had more fouls (3) than made shots (2) which is not a recipe for a good night.

C-. . Shooting Guard. New Orleans Pelicans. J.J. REDICK

Lost in J.J. Redick’s shooting woes is the fact that he is absolutely terrible on defense.

He was last year too, but this year he looks like he’s lost another step. Redick made a few 3-pointers last night but it doesn’t matter when he can’t defend.

Redick needs to be traded to a team that needs less out of him, as right now the Pels are counting on him to do things that he can no longer do.
