New Orleans Pelicans: Are Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram a good fit?

The Pelicans have committed to Zion and Ingram as the cornerstones of their franchise for the foreseeable future.

Zion Williamson is going to be a generational superstar and they have already locked Ingram up to a 5-year max extension.

Some fans question whether having two ball dominant players on the same team can work.

PLEASE STOP.

Of all of the questions and comments I see, this one has the least merit, as ALL of the best teams in the NBA have two superstars at least.

The Nets will probably win the East this year with three ball dominant guys, so it’s not like this is even close to unprecedented.

I actually think Zion and BI are ideal complements to each other, as they can both score and facilitate. They both need to improve on defense (especially Ingram) but if they are surrounded with the right combination of players, this will absolutely work.

Let’s not get silly.

The New Orleans Pelicans have some questions and it is fair to ask them, but it’s also fair to point out that this is a young team with a new coach and they are going to be much better with another year to tinker with the roster.
