New Orleans Pelicans: Trading with the Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks are one of my favorite trade partners for the Pelicans, whether they are trying to add depth or make a big blockbuster for someone like Kristaps Porzingis.

That is unlikely to happen, but guys like Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber would be nice fits on the New Orleans Pelicans and would bolster some areas of weakness.

If the Pelicans could get some of Dallas’ bench depth with Redick’s expiring deal, it would be a deal worth exploring at the deadline.

New Orleans Pelicans: Trading with the Denver Nuggets

The Nuggets were in a ton of rumors with the Pelicans when Jrue Holiday was on the market, but that talk has obviously cooled.

They still have some interesting players, particularly Michael Porter Jr. (more on him tomorrow) who could give the Pels the quality wing depth that they desperately need.

If the Nuggets want to add depth for another run at the Finals, they might be willing to part with someone like Will Barton, who could help the Pels and is on a team-friendly deal.
