If you follow our account on Twitter, then you know I have been pushing Lonzo Ball bets in the last few New Orleans Pelicans’ games.

Lonzo has been easy money lately, as the books haven’t yet figured out that he is now the third option for the Pelicans and has scored above his season average in nine of the last 11 games.

When a player his hot, bettors should keep riding him until he isn’t, which is why I’ll be continuing to bet on Lonzo Ball, especially in tonight’s game against Detroit, when he will have some favorable matchups.

Here are three bets I love against the Detroit Pistons, but keep in mind that I am not a professional sharp, so take this advice with a grain of salt and always bet responsibly.

New Orleans Pelicans: Lonzo Ball will score more than 14 points

The easiest bet in basketball over the last couple of weeks is to simply take the over on Lonzo Ball’s points.

Yes, there are still nights when he doesn’t make shots, but those nights are few and far between these days.

As I said earlier, Lonzo has exceeded his 14.3 points per game average in nine of the last 11 games and gone for 20 or more in four of them.

He should have matchup advantages against the Pistons’ young point guards, so expect another big night scoring from Lonzo Ball.

New Orleans Pelicans: Lonzo Ball will have more than 20 combined points and assists

This bet really just piggy-backs off the last one.

Lonzo’s assists have been up and down this season and his overall average is well-below what he has done in his career.

But he has had five or more assists in six of his last 11 games and the Pelicans should score plenty of points against the Pistons who are on the second game of a back-to-back.

Expect the Pels to run up the score, which should mean a big night for Lonzo.

New Orleans Pelicans: Lonzo Ball will make more than three 3-pointers

Lonzo Ball has made more than three 3-point shots in seven of his last 11 games and has shot 52.9 percent overall in that stretch.

Most of the Pistons’ guards are much smaller than Lonzo, so he should be able to get some good looks, especially if the Pistons try to pack the lane in an effort to slow down Zion Williamson.

Lonzo has been taking 7.7 per game, so if his hot shooting continues, he should get over three makes from behind the arc.

The New Orleans Pelicans need to build on their win over Boston with a blowout over the Detroit Pistons and it all starts with the play of Lonzo Ball.
