New Orleans Pelicans: Wendell Carter Jr. or Thaddeus Young would be nice fits

If the Chicago Bulls decide to be sellers at the deadline, then Wendell Carter Jr. and Thaddeus Young could be possible targets for the Pels.

Wendell Carter Jr. has only a team option left on his contract after this season and may not be part of the Bulls’ long-term plans.

The Pels need depth behind their bigs and he would be an upgrade over Willy Hernagomez or Jackson Hayes and is still only 21-years-old.

Thaddeus Young is a guy who is going to get some attention from contenders and other teams looking to bolster their depth, as he is having one of the best seasons of his career at age 32.

Young has evolved into a playmaker for the Bulls, getting over four assists per game, which would look pretty good coming off the Pels’ bench, as would his efficient scoring and rebounding.

The New Orleans Pelicans don’t really have a backup for Zion Williamson, so if they could get a veteran who can give them quality minutes off the bench, it would be a huge boost to a unit that has been one of the worst in the NBA.

Depending on what it would take to get them, either of the Bulls’ bigs would be nice additions to the New Orleans Pelicans.
