Could the New Orleans Pelicans trade for Karl-Anthony Towns?

This will be the first time the Pelicans have seen Karl-Anthony Towns this season, as he did not play in the first matchup, which makes the Pels’ loss look even worse.

KAT has long been talked about as a guy who would be a nice fit next to Zion Williamson and with the Timberwolves at the bottom of the NBA, now might be the time to move him.

I recently mentioned him as one of the guys on bad teams the Pelicans should be monitoring and they can start in tonight’s game.

The Timberwolves also have Anthony Edwards to build around, so might want to get off KAT’s massive salary and start yet another rebuild.

It’s hard to imagine the Timberwolves trading Towns but it is not out of the question, as he will eventually get sick of losing and might want to be moved to a team that offers a bit more hope

The New Orleans Pelicans combination of young talent and draft assets could make them a good match, so it will be interesting to see how things go with KAT vs. the Pels tonight.

Hopefully, he continues to play well as the ‘Wolves continue to lose, which might make him available.
