New Orleans Pelicans: Highs and lows from a wild week

New Orleans Pelicans: Notable stats from the week
Notes from the Week
- Somehow Zion raised his shooting percentage on the season this week. His 27 makes on 43 attempts (62.7 percent) is higher than his 62.1 percent on the season and that includes a game where he shot just 53 percent from the field and that was all on two-pointers.
- Josh Hart was the first Pelican ever with a15 rebound, 5 assists, 5 steals game, and the first NBA player with that line since Charles Oakley in Dec 1993, according to Stats by STATS.
- JJ Redick missed all the Pels games this week and has been away from the team since injuring his heel on March 3rd. The rumors are that Redick will be bought out by the Pelicans in the coming days, if that is the case take a moment and remember the good times from his short stay here.
- Zion has now scored 20+ points in 21 straight games. That’s one helluva run and remember he still hasn’t played 82 career games yet.
- The rumor mill around Lonzo Ball is getting very heated again as reports circulated that New Orleans could attach Ball to Bledsoe or Adams to get rid of either one of those contracts. Please God no, let this be some joke started by a twelve-year-old in Sheboygan.
The Week to Come
- Thursday 3/25 – NBA trade deadline – as I said earlier it’s best to stay off Twitter today to avoid the crazies on there. Check back in tomorrow when trades are finalized (you can thank me later).
- Friday 3/26 – Nuggets @ Pelicans – let’s make it two in a row against Denver. No doubt they’ll be wanting this win as much as New Orleans. Denver could make a significant change to their roster by the time this game tips.
- Saturday 3/27 – Mavs @ Pels – well, well, well Luka comes back into town. Ignore the college basketball games Saturday night and settle in for quite a show.
- Monday 3/29 – Pels @ Magic – three games in four nights is a lot of basketball to play. Luckily Orlando is rumored to be willing to shake up their roster considerably, the Pels may be able to win despite tired legs.
