New Orleans Pelicans: A baseline jumper makes Zion Williamson unstoppable
Zion Williamson is already the best post player in the NBA and one of the most efficient we’ve ever seen.
What is crazy is that he is doing this without any go-to moves other than to put his head down, knife to the hoop and just be stronger and faster than everyone else going to the rim. It’s as simple as it is unstoppable, which is why Zion Williamson is going to be spending a LOT of time at the free throw line next season and you can book that.
But if he can add a little more nuance to his post game, he won’t have to take as much contact and can save a little wear and tear on his body.
Zion started going to a baseline jumper more often as the season went on and was hitting it at a high clip.

We’ve already seen that he can hit this, but now he just needs to shoot it more often. If defenses have to close out on Zion as a shooter on the baseline, he is going to get a lot of blow-by dunks.
What has to be scary for the rest of the NBA is that Zion Williamson is going to get even better, going to get more calls and is going to be even tougher to stop once he adds more range and versatility on offense.
