New Orleans Pelicans: 5 possible free agents to monitor in Heat vs. Bucks
New Orleans Pelicans: Free agent Duncan Robinson would be a perfect fit
Duncan Robinson is a restricted free agent and will be one of those guys that other teams might try to steal.
It is rumored that he is looking for a $20 million per season pay day, similar to Lonzo Ball, so the Pelicans obviously aren’t getting Robinson unless they decide to move on from Lonzo.
Robinson would be a perfect fit as a basketball player, as he can provide that consistent, lights-out 3-point shooting that the Pelicans lack, creating space for Zion and making the Pels difficult to defend.
It is a huge long shot though, as he’ll probably re-sign with Miami or get overpaid by someone else.
Free Agent Kendrick Nunn could add bench scoring
Kendrick Nunn might be a more realistic option and also fits a need for the Pelicans. The Pels’ bench was one of the worst in the NBA and needs a reliable scorer.
NAW was that guy at times, but he played better as a starter and may be destined for the starting lineup if they trade Bledsoe.
Nunn is instant offense off the bench and has improved his 3-point shooting to 38 percent on over five attempts per game.
At the right price, he’d be a nice addition to the Pels’ bench and could give them a more reliable scoring option than they currently have.
