New Orleans Pelicans: The Clippers have the elite wing defenders

The Clippers have two of the best wings in the league in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, both of who show what Brandon Ingram needs to improve if he wants to be one of them.

Both Leonard and Paul are elite wing defenders, which makes it possible for the Clippers to match up with just about anyone defensively.

Ingram is a poor defender and the Pelicans don’t really have anyone else so this is a glaring issue that must be fixed if they want to make the playoffs.

New Orleans Pelicans: The Utah Jazz are all about the 3-and-D

If you want to know why the Utah Jazz had the league’s best record this season you only have to look at their ranking in 3-point shooting and defense.

The Jazz are third in the league in both, really illustrating how the game has changed, as a good defensive team that can shoot the 3-ball is pretty much what every franchise is trying to build.

The Pelicans were near the bottom of the league in both categories and will be again without some radical changes.

The Pelicans aren’t that far from being good simply because they have two young stars, but they still have a long way to go and can learn from all of the remaining NBA playoff teams.
