New Orleans Pelicans: Trading Brandon Ingram for Jaylen Brown

Kemba Walker is a 31-year-old point guard who missed a lot of time this season with injury, so if the Celtics want to get off his contract they are going to have to pay a pretty steep price.

Jaylen Brown would certainly be a big price to pay, but the Celtics would be getting an All-Star in Brandon Ingram, a 24-year-old who is already an elite offensive player.

He is locked up for one year more than Brown, so the Celtics would still have two of the best under-25 players in the league with a dynamic offensive pairing of Tatum and Ingram.

They would also get center Steven Adams, who is productive on a fairly team-friendly deal that wouldn’t be that hard to move if they had to.

This would allow the Celtics to upgrade from Tristan Thompson and they would still have some cap space leftover depending on what they do with Evan Fournier.

This would certainly be a big shake up and one that would change the dynamic of the Celtics, but they would still a frontrunner in the Eastern Conference, would be out from Kemba’s contract and could build around their two young stars

But would the Pelicans even consider this?
