New Orleans Pelicans: The Pels have a lot of ways to change the roster

The New Orleans Pelicans need an injection of talent and some players who are better fits around Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.

Regardless of what you think of Stan Van Gundy, I think we can all agree that roster construction was as big or bigger problem than head coach was last season.

Luckily, the Pelicans have plenty of ways to radically change their roster this offseason.

They have five picks in the upcoming NBA Draft including #10 and four in the second round. They could use those picks to grab players or could try to move them for proven guys.

Someone like Malcolm Brogdon might be available, and the Pelicans also have the future draft assets and young players to make an all-in move for a superstar.

If Damian Lillard is really available, the Pels might be able to get him, but even if they don’t there are plenty of other options for trades that could get them talent.

I am certain the New Orleans Pelicans will make some moves this offseason so we just need to be patient and wait for it to unfold. The Pelicans have the firepower to do a lot of things, so I am looking forward to seeing how David Griffin is going to restructure this team.
