New Orleans Pelicans: The Pels have other young talent not named Zion Williamson

Zion Williamson is going to be a generational superstar so that alone should be enough to keep fans excited, but the Pels also have a number of other young talents.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker just played for Team Canada and picked up some valuable reps against good competition even though Canada ultimately lost.

Kira Lewis Jr. is primed to make a big leap after having his first real offseason, Summer League and training camp.

Jaxson Hayes really started to come on late in the season and looks like a future piece, and Naji Marshall was a surprise who probably played his way onto next year’s roster.

Not to mention Brandon Ingram, who is an All-Star and still under 25, and the possibility of bringing back both Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart. That’s an enviable start to a good young team, and like I said, there are a lot of NBA franchises that wish they had this much young talent to build around.

It is only going to take a few of the right moves and this team will be right in the mix next season, so there are plenty of reasons to stay positive even though most of the news has a huge dark cloud over it this offseason.
