New Orleans Pelicans: Trading for Kevin Love

The Cavaliers are still rebuilding and would probably love to add another lottery pick to their coffers. This is another trade where part of the value to the Pelicans would be getting off some money so they could make additional moves while getting a player who is more suited to play with Zion Williamson.

There would probably have to be a third team involved to make this work, but this could be the beginning of a trade that works for both teams. The Cavs get out from under Love’s contract and get another lottery pick while the Pelicans get two guys who are better suited to play along Williamson and Brandon Ingram.

If David Griffin is truly in “win now” mode then this is one he might consider but I am not sure the Cavs would be willing to take on all that money just to get another draft pick.
