New Orleans Pelicans: Malcolm Brogdon is the best fit for the Pels
I’ve already written about Malcolm Brogdon here and here, so I won’t belabor the point too much except to say that I think he is an ideal fit next to Lonzo Ball and Zion Williamson.
Brogdon, unlike Eric Bledsoe, is a big guard who can still defend and shoot the 3-point shot, two things Bledsoe struggled with.
If the New Orleans Pelicans could put together a package based around Bledsoe and the 10th pick, they might be able to land Brogdon, who was reportedly offered up in a package to try and get Ben Simmons out of Philly.
The Pelicans need someone else who can create off the bounce, and make some space with his shooting. Brogdon also brings a toughness the Pelicans lack and some veteran leadership, so he might be the best fit out of all of these options.
He might also cost more than Bledsoe and the 10th pick, and the Pacers would almost certainly prefer to get one of the Pels’ young players instead, but if Griffin can make it work, Brogdon would be a great get.
