New Orleans Pelicans: Trading the 10th pick to the Dallas Mavericks

I wrote about how the best trade target on Dallas is not Kristaps Porzingis, who makes too much money and has had too many injuries.

I think Maxi Kleber is actually a better fit both in terms of skills and contract, but the Pelicans probably aren’t going to give up the 10th pick just for Kleber. How about a package?

In this trade, the Pelicans get off Eric Bledsoe but have to give up the 10th pick to do it. In exchange they get a solid defender and shooter in Kleber, as well as some scoring for the bench.

They would also clear some much-needed cap space, which could open up another spot for additional impact talent.

If the New Orleans Pelicans want to trade the #10 pick they will have plenty of options, but teams aren’t just going to hand over a quality veteran, so the Pelicans will have to do their homework to find the right deal.
