New Orleans Pelicans: NBA Free Agent Paul Millsap

Every good team needs a veteran glue guy and Paul Millsap has been one of the best in the NBA over the last decade.

Millsap is 36-years-old but still has plenty left in the tank and even started 36 games for the Nuggets last season, averaging nine points, 4.7 rebounds while shooting 34 percent from long range.

Millsap has shot as high as 43 percent from 3-point range, but has been mostly average for his career.

But he brings much more than just stats, he is a veteran leader who is still a very good team defender and could really help shore up the Pels’ porous defense.

The Pelicans are also one of the youngest teams in the NBA and could use another veteran presence after losing guys like Steven Adams and James Johnson.

If I had to guess, I’d say Millsap will sign for the MLE, so he’d be a mid-range guy who the New Orleans Pelicans could definitely afford.
