Music has intertwined in sports since the beginning. From baseball having an organist to boxing developing walk-out music, the two entities have never escaped one another.

Every musical star dwells on their high school sports days, where every athlete dips their toe into a below-average musical career at some point or another (Hey Lonzo).

There is a small class who were able to excel at both music and sports, but that is few and far between. My favorite example being country singer Sam Hunt who can claim he has a top-10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 while also beating the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa while being the QB of the University of Alabama Birmingham.

It’s always crossed my mind what players would be if they were to go down a different career path. Some would seemingly have regular jobs, but what if they all turned their incredible talents to music?

It’s a shame there isn’t a world simulation to see what genre the players would choose in their musical endeavors. Even about what public image they would uphold. Is anyone in a different world secretly excentric enough to be the next Tommy Lee, or would more fall in line with a quiet superstar like Frank Ocean.

The beauty about life, in general, is there is no way we will ever know. That’s never stopped me before though so I’m going to try to figure it out.

Who would the current New Orleans Pelicans be in the world of music?
