As fans of the New Orleans Pelicans evacuate or try to shelter in place, those of us outside of the path of Hurricane Ida can only sit helplessly and watch the coverage.

There are some things you can do, and if you’d like to help support victims of the hurricane, there are a number of ways you can do it.

Wherever you are, please stay safe.

If you want to take a break from all of the coverage of the carnage, there is a video going around that momentarily made me laugh.

We all know that the hatred for Anthony Davis goes deep in New Orleans, and that was even apparent during a hurricane.

New Orleans Pelicans: Not the Anthony Davis chips, nope

As the hurricane approached people were stockpiling supplies and supermarkets were quickly bare of anything edible.

If you’ve ever been though a natural disaster, then you know you can’t be picky when grabbing last-minute food off the shelves.

That’s why this video is so funny, as fans of the New Orleans Pelicans chose to avoid certain items on the shelves, namely the bags of chips that have Anthony Davis’ face on them

I have to say, this is peak level petty and I love it, as fans couldn’t bring themselves to buy the AD chips even when trying to stockpile supplies for a hurricane.

This was just a little bit of levity as people try to ride out this storm, so I hope everyone is staying safe, and once again here is a link for how you can help.

New Orleans is going to need help in the aftermath of Ida and I hope Pelicans’ fans from all over the country and world will be there with support.

Stay safe, New Orleans and we’ll see you on the other side of this.
