The New Orleans Pelicans were a poor 3-point shooting team last season, which is not what you want when you have an interior force like Zion Williamson.

The Pelicans got plenty of open looks, but did not knock enough of them down, which is how they ended up 25th in the league in 3-point percentage.

There is debate about whether the Pelicans have improved their shooting, and they don’t really have a guy who is considered a “lights out” shooter from long range.

The Pelicans didn’t have a single player crack 40 percent from 3-point range which is pretty much the cut off line from good to elite.

They lost their most prolific long-range shooter when they traded Lonzo Ball, and these five guys are going to try and make up for it and hopefully improve the Pelicans’ overall team shooting.

Here’s a ranking of the five best shooters currently on the roster.

New Orleans Pelicans best 3-point shooters #5- Tomas Satoransky

The fact that Satoransky made this list shows you exactly how dire the Pels’ shooting really is, as he is not a guy who is considered much of a threat from long range.

Satoransky shot 35.6 percent last season for the Chicago Bulls on just two attempts per game, so he is not a high volume guy and his accuracy is about league average.

It’s unclear how much run Satoransky will get with the Pelicans next season but if he does play off the bench, he should get some better looks as long as one of Zion Williamson or Brandon Ingram is the game.

Satoransky is pretty much average, which is enough to make the list of the Pelicans best shooters unfortunately.
