New Orleans Pelicans best 3-point shooters #4- Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Again, Nickeil Alexander-Walker making this list is not a great sign for the Pelicans, as he too is pretty average from behind the arc.

NAW shot just 34.7 percent on 4.8 attempts per game last season, and often took too many 3-pointers in my opinion, as he is a much-better finisher around the rim and from the mid-range.

However, NAW’s improvement from range is going to be a big factor in the Pels’ success next season, as if he can shoot it will allow the Pelicans to go with some “jumbo” starting lineups with him at the one, which would improve their defense.

NAW can look like an amazing shooter at times but he needs to improve his consistency.

New Orleans Pelicans best 3-point shooters #3: Trey Murphy III

It doesn’t take much to make this list, as Trey Murphy III hasn’t even played a real game for the Pelicans yet and he might already be their best shooter.

Murphy III shot 43 percent in college and has a smooth stroke, which we saw him unleash in a few big Summer League games.

All Murphy III is going to be asked to do offensively is make 3-point shots, and he is going to get plenty of open ones, so he could very well end up being the team’s 3-point specialist off the bench.
