New Orleans Pelicans: Ranking the 5 best 3-point shooters on the roster
New Orleans Pelicans best 3-point shooters #2: Brandon Ingram
Most people think of Ingram as a mid-range scorer but his 3-point shooting has improved dramatically since he came into the league.
Ingram hit 38.1 percent of his 3-point shots on 6.1 attempts per game, but I think he has another level from long range and we will see it next season.
I think Willie Green’s offense is going to have less isolation and more ball movement, which should lead to more open 3’s for Ingram and fewer tough contested shots from the mid-range.
Ingram is always going to feed from the second level, but if he can increase his volume and accuracy from long-range, it will open up that part of his game even more.
New Orleans Pelicans best 3-point shooters #1- Devonte’ Graham
Lonzo Ball’s replacement Devonte’ Graham will take over as the team’s best 3-point shooter next season.
Graham shot 37.5 percent on 8.7 attempts from long range last season, and when you dig into the numbers, he looks like he’ll be even better for the New Orleans Pelicans.
Graham shot 42.3 percent on catch-and-shoot 3-pointers last season, and he figures to get even more of them next season, as he won’t be handling the ball as much and will be taking most of his shots from long range.
Graham has a chance to fill that role well and to be a better fit for the Pelicans than Lonzo even if Lonzo is a slightly better player overall.
