New Orleans Pelicans: Zion Williamson getting in some work

Undoubtedly the most positive sign of the first day of practice was that Zion Williamson was taking part and getting in some work.

Zion is obviously not practicing at full speed with the team yet after undergoing minor foot surgery, but it is good to see him out there getting some one-on-one time with assistant coach Teresa Weatherspoon.

The two seem to have built a rapport over the last two seasons, so it is good to see Zion and T-Spoon getting the work in as he recovers. She is a great teacher and this would be the perfect time to work on some of the nuances of the game that don’t involve jumping.

The New Orleans Pelicans camp didn’t start the way they wanted but there are promising signs that things are going to turn around soon.
