New Orleans Pelicans: Devonte’ Graham wants to prove himself

Another player who will be looking to have a good game is Devonte’ Graham, who is essentially Lonzo Ball’s replacement.

Graham has had two poor outings in the preseason so far, though it is far too early to worry about that as he is on a new team and trying to find his role with both of the Pelicans’ primary scorers on the bench.

All of the talk of the offseason was about Lonzo Ball, but Graham put up nearly identical numbers last season, costs far less and might be a better fit with the Pelicans.

Most fans view Graham as a downgrade from Lonzo, which can’t sit well with him, so he’ll be eager to come out and have his first good game of the preseason against Ball and the Bulls, even if the two aren’t matched up against one another much.

It would be nice to see Graham knock down some shots tonight and start to build some momentum for the return of Zion Williamson and the regular season, but Lonzo is going to be trying to stop him to show the Pelicans exactly how they screwed up.
