New Orleans Pelicans: Lonzo Ball is ready to show the Pels their mistakes

Lonzo Ball has always been a soft-spoken guy who lets his game do the talking, despite the image he might have that is mostly due to his loudmouth dad.

I don’t think Lonzo Ball holds any grudges against his former teammates, but he will definitely want to show the front office that they made some huge mistakes.

The first one was not putting Lonzo at point guard last season and instead having him play off-the-ball as a 3-and-D wing.

Ball was never comfortable in this role and has mentioned it several times since leaving the Pelicans.

He also wants to show the New Orleans Pelicans that they screwed up by not offering him a max contract extension.

I could see Lonzo turning it up tonight, running the offense and bringing a little extra on defense against his former team. Expect to see some alley-oops and slick passing from Lonzo running the offense.

This is only the preseason but that won’t stop these guys from trying to prove themselves, so I expect a competitive and fun game tonight in New Orleans.
