Who is the starting backcourt for the New Orleans Pelicans?

This another tough question that I don’t think was answered in preseason.

Coach Green is probably going to go with Devonte’ Graham as the starting point guard, although he didn’t play particularly well in preseason or look all that comfortable running the offense with Zion Williamson out.

I have no idea who is going to start at shooting guard, as NAW was all over the place and might be better served as the first scoring option off the bench.

Trey Murphy III has been the Pels’ most consistent player so far, but he might have to start at power forward if Zion is out.

Josh Hart has always been a bench guy and was shooting lead bricks in preseason, so I am not sure he is the answer either.

We now see why Temple and Satoransky both got starts, as Green at least knows what he is going to get out of them (which in the case of Temple, was more bricks).

The Pelicans could go “jumbo” and put Ingram at the two, with Murphy III and Naji Marshall, which might be the best option until Zion returns.

I don’t envy coach Green, as he has not only been put under pressure to win, but not much has gone right so far. Let’s hope the Pelicans can start to answer some of these questions soon.
