New Orleans Pelicans: Optimistic predictions for the key role players
The New Orleans Pelicans have the high-end stars, but it may come down to the bench, which should be deeper and more versatile this season. These four guys are going to be key if Zion Williamson has to miss a lot of time and the Pels will need all of them to step up and pick up the slack in the big guy’s absence.
Josh Hart: Josh Hart will shoot just under 40 percent from 3-point range and finish in the top-5 for the 6th Man of the Year award.
Jaxson Hayes: Hayes will play a lot of minutes at power forward to start the season and will end up shooting 35 percent or better from 3-point range on 2.5 attempts per game.
Devonte’ Graham: Graham will shoot over 40 percent from 3-point range and be the Pels’ best clutch-time scorer.
Trey Murphy III: Murphy III will be in the starting lineup and win Rookie of the Year after averaging 15 points per game for the Pelicans and shooting 40 percent from 3-point range.
