New Orleans Pelicans vs. Chicago Bulls Question 2: Can Brandon Ingram dominate DeMar DeRozan?

One matchup I think the Pelicans can win is at the small forward, where Brandon Ingram will be matched up against DeMar DeRozan.

DeRozan is not a very good defender, so Ingram should be able to capitalize. The Pels can’t rely too heavily on Ingram isolation, but he should definitely get plenty of touches against DeRozan.

Of course, Ingram isn’t the greatest defender either, but there are signs he’s improving and DeRozan will be a good test for him defensively.

Question 3: Will we see more of Herb Jones?

Herb Jones didn’t get much run in the loss to the 76ers, but with Hart possibly out, we may see more of him and fellow rookie Trey Murphy III, who both played well in preseason.

The Pelicans may try to go small with Jones in their version of the “Death Lineup,” which is something I would like to see this season, as Jones can defend up and give the Pelicans a quickness advantage.

One of the biggest differences from last season is that the Pelicans are more versatile and hopefully we see more of that as the season progresses and the rookies get more comfortable.
