The New Orleans Pelicans will try to get on track vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight at the Smoothie King Center.

The Pels have been in a free fall since winning early in the season, losing seven in a row coming into tonight.

They will be without Zion Williamson for sure and Brandon Ingram and Herbert Jones are game time decisions for the Pels.

The Thunder don’t currently have anyone on the injured list and are a surprising 3-6 on the season, with two wins coming over the Lakers.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. OKC Thunder odds spread and over/under

The New Orleans Pelicans are actually favored in this game!  According to WynnBET, the Pelicans are -4 point favorites against the Thunder, which probably won’t be happening again for a while.

The money line currently sits at -113 for OKC and -108 for the Pelicans, so there really isn’t a favorite in this game as far as the books are concerned.

The over/under is 211, though I have seen it as high as 215 for this game. With Brandon Ingram potentially sitting this one out, I would hammer the under on this even though both teams have lousy defenses.

If the New Orleans Pelicans can finally get something from their bench, they will have a chance to notch their second win of the season, but I’d be tempted to bet the under even if you think the Pelicans will win.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. OKC Thunder predictions

It’s hard to predict at Pels’ win right now even though they are finally playing a team that is closer to their age and experience level.

Will this be the night Nickeil Alexander-Walker finally plays well? He’s been scoring at a decent clip but doing it on very inefficient shooting.

But he’ll be going against his cousin tonight and up for the challenge, so I predict NAW will have a more efficient night and put up 20+ points.

The Thunder don’t have a traditional big man other than Derrick Favors, so expect Jonas Valanciunas to have a big night against the Thunder. If you are looking for a play in daily fantasy, JV would be a good bet to put up monster numbers tonight.

The New Orleans Pelicans are going to get their second “W” of the season tonight but I predict a very scrappy game.
