New Orleans Pelicans: Promising numbers from the win vs. Memphis Grizzlies

One of those unexpected places is Herb Jones, who is scored 17 points off the bench against the Grizzlies.

We know Jones is a lockdown defender who can impact the game without scoring, but lately he’s been doing both.

He hit 3-of-4 from 3-point range last night, something you don’t normally expect from Jones. But he put in the work with shooting coach Fred Vinson, and so far it is paying off, as Jones is shooting 38.5 percent from long range for the season.

Jones already looks like one of the steals of the draft, as he’s been the best 2nd-round rookie in the NBA so far and even found himself on the KIA Rookie Ladder.

Fans have been critical of some of the front office’s draft picks over the last few years but they deserve credit for finding a gem in Herb Jones, who is starting to look more and more like Draymond Green.

Let’s hope the New Orleans Pelicans can build off this win and start to string a few together to build momentum before Zion returns.
