The New Orleans Pelicans will try to make it two in a row tonight on the road against the Washington Wizards.

The Pelicans finally snapped their losing streak and got their second win of the season against the Memphis Grizzlies at home in their previous game.

The Pels may not be getting results, but they have played with heart this season with their two best players sidelined for most of it.

The Wizards are one of the surprise teams of the NBA this season, but unlike the New Orleans Pelicans, it’s for positive reasons.

Washington is 9-3 and riding a four-game winning streak coming into tonight. Both teams will be shorthanded, as the Pelicans will still be without Zion Williamson and there is no real timetable for his return.

The Wizards will be without Bradley Beal, Davis Bertans, Rui Hachimura and Thomas Bryant, so the Pels caught them at the right time and might be able to steal a win on the road.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Washington Wizards: Odds, spread, over/under

According to WynnBET, the New Orleans Pelicans are three point underdogs on the road against the Wizards.

The money lines are set at +135 for the Pelicans and -155 for the Wizards. I think there is fair value here with the Wizards having so many guys out, and would probably forget about the points and just bet the Pels to win.

The over/under is set at 212, and with so many players out, this one is tough to call. The Pels did get Brandon Ingram back and there were signs from last game that the offense might start humming.

But the Wizards have been getting it done this season with defense with newcomers Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell making a big difference on that end. It seems a bit high, but the Pels are also due for a big night.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Washington Wizards: Predictions

With Beal, Hachimura, Bertans and Bryant out, I do think the New Orleans Pelicans have some favorable matchups in this one, particularly down low.

Daniel Gafford and Harrell are good defenders, but too small to bother Jonas Valanciunas, who has been playing like a top-5 center this season. I love JV against Harrell and Kyle Kuzma in this one if you are in daily fantasy.

I also like Brandon Ingram in this one, as he should be able to shoot over KCP and flat-out abuse Kuzma, depending on who gets the assignment.
