Josh Hart has replaced Jrue Holiday as the fan favorite in New Orleans

Jrue Holiday reminded Pelicans’ fans how much we miss him last night, as he put the Bucks on his shoulders and willed them into overtime even though they were missing two starters.

Holiday is an all-time fan favorite in New Orleans because of the way he carried himself on and off the court, as well as the multitude of ways he continues to help the community.

I don’t know if anyone will ever “replace” him in the hearts of Pelicans’ fans but Josh Hart is coming close.

Like Holiday, Hart always leaves everything on the court, which he did last night, flying around on defense, making all of the hustle plays and grabbing 15 rebounds, all of which seemed to be in crucial moments.

Like Holiday before him, Josh Hart is the heart and soul of this team, and a guy who has become a more vocal leader of this young group.

Hart has gone from a guy who looked like the Pels’ best trade chip to a guy who the fans would riot for if the Pels even considered moving him.

In short, I love Josh Hart and hope he plays the rest of his career in New Orleans.
