Both the New Orleans Pelicans and Portland Trail Blazers will enter tonight’s matchup on modest 2-game winning streaks that they would love to extend.

Both teams have an eye on the play-in tournament, with the Trail Blazers currently holding down the 10th spot and the Pelicans just three games behind.

The Pelicans have a good chance to make the play-in, especially if they can win games against the teams directly in front of them.

The Pels are coming off two thrillers, one that ended on a miracle shot by Devonte’ Graham and an overtime win over the shorthanded Bucks.

The Trail Blazers will be missing players as well, so the Pelicans should have a good chance to make it three in a row at home.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Portland Trail Blazers: Odds, spread, over/under

According to WynnBET, the Pelicans are 1.5 point favorites at home vs. the Trail Blazers, which is not a position they have been in often this season.

The money lines are set at -120 for the Pels and +100 for the Trail Blazers, so this one is seen more or less as a toss up by the books.

The over under is 219, the highest it has been all season, as neither of these teams defend much, so the books expect a high-scoring affair without much D.

The Blazers will be missing CJ McCollum for sure and possibly Damian Lillard, so I like the Pelicans to win this one outright and would take the points to get the better odds.

I would also take the under, as the Trail Blazers could be missing their entire starting backcourt and the Pelicans have been inconsistent offensively.

Pelicans vs. Trail Blazers: Best daily fantasy bets

Brandon Ingram has struggled mightily in his career against the Trail Blazers, only averaging 15 points in 13 games, so this might be one to give BI a rest on your fantasy roster.

I do like the Pelicans’ guards in this one, particularly Devonte’ Graham and Josh Hart, who have both been putting up numbers lately.

Hart is averaging a double-double with 4.5 assists over his last three, so he is one of my favorite low-cost plays.

I also like Willie Hernangomez as a low-cost play against the Portland backup bigs, as they will be forced to go small with Cody Zeller out.

How to watch
