The New Orleans Pelicans will finish up a tough 3-game home stand tonight against the Golden State Warriors, who are currently tied for the best record in the NBA.

The Pels are getting back to full strength after both Brandon Ingram and Jonas Valanciunas had to miss time with injury and illness, though they are still missing star Zion Williamson, who is how rehabbing away from the team.

Stephen Curry has had two rare bad games in a row and is listed as questionable tonight with a bruised quad, so the Pelicans might catch a break and miss one of the frontrunners for MVP.

It would be nice for the Pelicans to get a win, as they still have a good shot at the play-in as long as they don’t fall too far back during this difficult stretch, as their schedule will eventually lighten up some.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Golden State Warriors: Odds, spread, over/under

According to WynnBET, the Pelicans are two point underdogs tonight at home vs. the Warriors, a number that tells me the books think Curry is probably not going to play.

If he doesn’t, I love the Pelicans to win this one, as they have been playing hard lately and are coming up just short with their best player out of the lineup, but have proven time and time again that this is a different team under coach Willie Green.

The money lines are set at +110 for the Pelicans and -130 for the Warriors, so the books aren’t ruling out a chance at a Pels’ victory.

The over/under is 215.5, which is pretty much exactly the combined average points for these two teams. Golden State has relied on defense as much as offense, but if Curry is out, shouldn’t score as much.

If I were going to bet this, I’d just take the Pelicans to win outright with the under, as you’ll get better odds and two points isn’t enough of an edge.

As for daily fantasy, Valanciunas has put up huge numbers since returning and Ingram is still getting his legs back under him, so I’d go with JV in this one against the smaller Warriors.
