After three days off, the New Orleans Pelicans are finally back in action again tonight at home vs. the Indiana Pacers.

The Pels are entering a weird part of their schedule which sees them playing six games in nine days, and all of them are sets of back-to-backs with the final two on the road.

The Pelicans have been a much-better team at home and considering they are on the road in Philly tomorrow night, this one against the Pacers is practically a must-win.

New Orleans is trying to keep pace for the last play-in spot and just need to finish strong in January before the schedule lightens up a bit.

The Pacers beat the New Orleans Pelicans back in November but New Orleans won’t face the same team this time around, as Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis are both out, joining Myles Turner.

Caris LeVert is listed as questionable for tonight and will be game-time decision, so this is a game the Pelicans should and must win at home.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Indiana Pacers: Odds, spread, over/under and best bets

According to WynnBET, the New Orleans Pelicans are 2.5 point favorites tonight at home vs. the Indiana Pacers, who have only won three of their last ten games and stink on the road.

This spread should be higher, but don’t tell the books, as this is a great value bet for Pelicans’ fans. Take the Pels to win with the points and enjoy the show.

The money lines are -140 for New Orleans and +115 for Indiana. Again, these seem low, but with a point spread below three I would just take the Pels to win, cover and get the better odds.

The over/under is set at 215.5, which is right in between what these two teams normally score and let up combined on average. With Indiana missing a few guys, I think this one will be low scoring, so I’d take the under.

If Sabonis is out (check the injury report prior to the game as always), expect Jonas Valanciunas to go off, and even if he doesn’t, his normal game is very steady and will net you a double-double almost guaranteed.

Josh Hart continues to be one of the best value plays in the NBA in daily fantasy and should have another all-around night with Brogdon out.

If you are looking for a really cheap play that might pay off, Jose Alvarado has been quietly putting up numbers for the Pelicans. He tallied 13 points, four assists and four steals vs. the Knicks and will look to build on that tonight.
