The Pelicans bench needs a consistent contributor

The Pelicans got zero points from starter Devonte’ Graham, which is a problem, but they also got next to nothing from their bench for the second game in a row.

New Orleans has struggled with depth all season and hasn’t gotten consistent contributions from anyone off the bench.

The Pels got just 26 bench points from six different players with coach Green is obviously still trying to find combinations that work.

The Spurs got 31 from just five bench players, and that disparity, coupled with the Pelicans’ turnovers, was enough to cost them a game which they could have won.

Jose Alvarado has been the most consistent bench player of late, but the Pels need more than one guy from their bench to step up.

Coach Green may end up shuffling the starting lineup, and we are likely to see more growing pains as he tries to figure out the best rotations.
