How many years before Brandon Ingram is the New Orleans Pelicans’ franchise leader?

When it comes down to it, putting the ball in the bucket is what people remember, and Ingram has a very good chance of being the franchise leader in points before his career is finished.

Points

Leader: Anthony Davis (11,059)

Brandon Ingram: 4,173

At his current pace, it will take BI just under five seasons to overtake Anthony Davis as the franchise’s all-time leading scorer.

If Ingram signs another contact with the Pelicans (and we all hope he does) he will almost certainly surpass AD at some point during it as long as he can stay healthy.

Players tend to bounce around a lot more than they did in the past, but Ingram strikes me as a guy who will be loyal to a team that shows that same loyalty in return. Let’s hope he and the Pelicans have a long, happy relationship together that ends with a few rings and Ingram’s name atop most or all of the franchise’s all-time lists.
